As a lifelong resident of the Peace Country, Ian has deep roots in the region.
Community involvement has always been a priority for Ian. He has volunteered with several organizations, including Camp Wapiti where he met his wife, Aerylin. Together they have 4 boys who champion many wild adventures.
Ian was previously on Sexsmith Town Council and more recently has volunteered as a director of the Grande Prairie Airport Commission where he chairs the audit committee. These have been formative experiences for Ian where his perspective has been greatly expanded.
Education has been a focus for Ian. He attended Athabasca University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting Major) and obtained a Certificate in Public Administration.
Ian has been in public accounting since 2017 and enjoys working with clients on financial stewardship and tax planning.
