Candi was born and raised in Fairview, attended College in Grande Prairie where she received her Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2001 and has worked in the accounting industry ever since. She achieved her CA designation in November 2007 and was admitted into the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta (ICAA) in January 2008. Candi worked as a senior manager on various profit, non-profit, municipal, and school board audit engagements and gained extensive experience with both corporate and personal taxation at a local firm from 2001 to 2008.
In 2009, Candi chose to further advance her education and branch off into the ever-changing world of tax and joined the tax specialty firm of Thomson Group and was a Partner there from 2013 to January 2022. From 2010 to 2013, she successfully completed all three levels of the CICA’s (Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants) In-Depth tax courses as well as, the CICA’s Corporate Reorganization course and Advanced Tax issues for the Owner Managed Business. Candi has developed great working relationships with many clients, accountants, and lawyers throughout the western provinces.
