Alexis was born and raised in the Peace Region, with her family roots in the Bezanson area. She was a local 4-H member for nine years and has stayed close to her rural roots. She began her accounting career in 2018 after completing her diploma at Grande Prairie Regional College (now Northwestern Polytechnic), where she was named Valedictorian of GPRC’s 2018 graduating class. She completed her Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting Major) in 2020 through the SAIT/GPRC collaboration, and has since earned her Master of Professional Accounting degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2022, as well as her CPA designation in 2024.
Her accounting and assurance experience ranges from personal tax and compilations to financial statement audits, with a strong focus on industries such as agriculture, forestry, retail, and oil and gas. She enjoys the complexities of large groups of related companies, partnerships, and joint ventures, but also values the personal connections found in owner-managed and mid-sized corporate clients.
Alexis strives to provide value to clients by identifying their needs and working collaboratively with them to produce meaningful results. She recognizes that, as a business owner, understanding your company’s financial position and ensuring that the numbers make sense to you is the goal—and this takes priority in her work. If it’s important to you, it’s important to her.
Outside of the office, if she’s not travelling on one of her and her husband’s many adventures, you can often find her spending time at the family farm in Bezanson or enjoying her backyard and quiet home in Grande Prairie with their one dog, one cat, and two goldfish. She is an avid reader and a self-proclaimed movie buff, and she truly appreciates maintaining a balance between a busy profession and a fulfilling home life
